CMIP5 graphics and tables

A series of figures showing Canadian patterns of climate change computed from multi-model ensemble climate output gathered as part of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) is presented. Projections are based on the Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) scenarios. Time period (annual mean) and seasonal averages of projected changes in climate are shown for RCP2.6, RCP4.5 and RCP8.5.

Time series plots of projected changes in temperature, relative precipitation, and snow depth, relative to 1986-2005, are shown for Canadian land averages (averaged over land grid points in Canada).

Tables and maps of projected twenty-year average changes for the near term (2016-2035), mid term (2046-2065) and long term (2081-2100) are given, relative to a reference period of 1986-2005. For each variable, the 25th, 50th and 75th percentiles of the CMIP5 ensemble distribution are provided. Please see the technical notes for more details.
