Introduction to TAR/AR4 scenarios

Access climate change scenario information generated from model output used in the IPCC Third Assessment Report (TAR) in 2001, and the Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) in 2007. The model results are from coordinated Coupled Model Intercomparison Projects (CMIP2 and CMIP3 respectively) that are coordinated by the World Climate Research Programme. The climate forcing scenarios used in the TAR were the 'A2' and 'B2', whereas for the AR4, the results make use of the A1B, A2 and B1 scenarios. For more information on SRES scenarios.
