About us
The Canadian Climate Data and Scenarios (CCDS) site was originally launched in February 2005 with support from Environment and Climate Change Canada (formerly called Environment Canada), the Climate Change Adaptation Fund (CCAF) and the University of Regina. Since January 2012, it has been wholly supported by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
The CCDS supports climate change impact and adaptation research in Canada through the provision of climate model and observational data.
A number of individuals and organizations have helped in the development of the CCDS site. We thank them all for their efforts and contributions to the site.
CCDS Goals:
- Support climate change impact and adaptation research in Canada and other countries;
- Support stakeholders requiring scenario information for decision making and policy development;
- Provide access to Canadian research on the development of scenarios and adaptation research.
