Statistically downscaled climate scenarios
Access statistically downscaled climate scenarios based on model output from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5). Statistical downscaling predictors are also available.
Data are available for download at the following resolutions:
- Temporal resolution: available at a daily scale
- Spatial resolution: approximately 10km
View and download maps of precipitation and temperature change based on a multi-model ensemble of statistically downscaled CMIP5 output.
Download temperature and precipitation data
Download statistically downscaled multi-model ensembles of modelled temperature and precipitation output in NetCDF or GeoTIFF format.
Individual statistically downscaled global climate model (GCM) temperature and precipitation output are also available for download.
Technical notes on statistical downscaling method
Statistically downscaled climate scenarios presented on CCDS are based on the Bias Correction/Constructed Analogues with Quantile mapping version 2 (BCCAQv2) procedure.
Please visit the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium (PCIC) for statistically downscaled datasets based on other downscaling methods, such as the Bias-Correction Spatial Disaggregation (BCSD) and Bias Correction/Constructed Analogues with Quantile mapping reordering (BCCAQ) procedures.
Full datasets based on the BCCAQv2 procedure are also made available by PCIC.
