CMIP5 statistically downscaled climate scenarios
Access statistically downscaled climate scenarios based on model output from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5). Statistical downscaling predictors are also available.
Data are available for download at the following resolutions:
- Temporal resolution: available at a daily scale
- Spatial resolution: approximately 10km

Download statistically downscaled multi-model ensembles of modelled temperature and precipitation output in NetCDF or GeoTIFF format.
Individual statistically downscaled global climate model (GCM) temperature and precipitation output are also available for download.
Technical notes on statistical downscaling method
CMIP5 statistically downscaled climate scenarios, named the Canadian Downscaled Climate Scenarios–Univariate method from CMIP5 (CanDCS-U5), presented on CCDS are based on the Bias Correction/Constructed Analogues with Quantile mapping version 2 (BCCAQv2) procedure.
